Detectives are satisfied that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a couple from Failsworth.
At about 10.50am on Wednesday 15 April 2015, police were called by the ambulance service to a house on Ogden Road, Failsworth, following reports two people had been found dead.
Officers attended and a couple, a 67-year-old man and his 66-year-old partner, were found dead at the bottom of the stairs.
Following an investigation into their deaths, including Home Office post mortems, detectives are now satisfied there are no suspicious circumstances.
It is believed both fell down the stairs and died as a result of their injuries, with the man falling in the first instance and his partner falling after coming to his aid.
