A murder investigation is underway in Birmingham after an 18-year-old man was stabbed to death in Northfield yesterday (Friday 17 April).
Sheriff Mbye died in hospital just two hours after he received multiple stab wounds in a scuffle which saw another man also sustain serious stab wounds.
That man is currently in a critical condition in hospital.
Police were called to Bristol Road South in the Northfield area of the city, shortly before 5pm to reports of a stabbing outside the KFC restaurant.
When officers arrived they found a 19-year-old in a barber shop being tended to by customers.
As a major investigation was launched, reports were received from Queen Elizabeth hospital that Sheriff, from Lee Bank, had arrived in a white coloured Audi which then sped off.
The car was later found by police abandoned in Hickman Gardens, Ladywood.
