Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command continue to appeal for information following two reports of sexual assaults in Havering.
Officers now believe the suspect is from the Southwark area.
A CCTV still of a man detectives wish to trace in connection with the investigation has been released.
The first offence occurred at about 15:30hrs on Tuesday 24 February in Mawney Road, Romford, after both the suspect and the victim – a 12-year-old girl – got off a route 248 bus travelling from Upminster.
The second offence occurred at about 15:00hrs on Thursday 5 March, while the victim – a 17-year-old female – was waiting at a bus stop on Waterloo Road, Romford.
Officers are treating the incidents as linked.
The suspect is described as a black man, around 30-40 years and approximately 6ft tall with bad teeth.
