Detectives investigating a racist assault in Blackpool have issued an appeal for witnesses.
The incident happened between 9.30pm and 10pm on Saturday 25 April when a 35-year-old Asian woman and her family were outside Coral Island on the Promenade.
She was approached by a group of people who made racist remarks towards her before one member of the group threw her to the ground and spat on her.
The woman did not sustain any injuries in the attack.
DC 3091 Duncan Worsley of Blackpool CID said: â€œThis was a despicable incident which has understandably left the victim extremely upset.
We do not tolerate any instances of racism and an investigation into what happened is already underway.
