Five police constables from the Metropolitan Police Service have been dismissed without notice for discreditable conduct following a misconduct hearing which concluded today (15 May).
They were found to have breached the professional standards of Discreditable Conduct and Authority, Respect and Courtesy and their behaviour amounted to Gross Misconduct.
A sixth PC was issued with a final written warning.
A seventh PC, against whom similar allegations were made, was arrested in February 2014.
He was released with no further action in respect of the criminal investigation but the misconduct investigation continued.
This officer submitted his resignation in December 2014 which was accepted.
All the officers were attached to Camden Borough at the time of the allegations.
The Board heard that the officers, whilst on duty, posted a number of images, taken covertly, of members of the public and colleagues on social media.
