A man has been jailed for murder.
Joe Hasledine (born 30/01/1991) of Wellington Road North, Stockport, pleaded guilty to murder at Manchester Crown Court on Monday 8th June 2015.
Today, Monday 8th June 2015, he was jailed for life with a minimum term of sixteen and a half years.
The victim, Chris Fields, died aged 37-years-old, on 12th December 2014.
Hasledine viciously assaulted Field over a sustained period, even leaving the victim‘s home address for a short time before returning to continue the attack.
At 7.20pm on 12th December 2014 paramedics attended the address and took Fields to Stepping Hill hospital.
He was later transferred to Salford Royal Hospital, where he sadly died as a result of his injuries on Sunday 21st December 2014.
An independent investigation by the IPCC into this case is currently on going.
