Ollie admits he’s nervous but excited about race day
I’ve always wanted to test myself at the London Marathon and to give something back, so when this opportunity arose I just couldn’t say no.
I’m nervous and excited; I’ve always been one of the people cheering before so it will be great to be on the other side of the fence.
Training has been hard. The early mornings and late nights running in the cold and the dark haven’t been a lot of fun, and I’ve needed a lot of self-motivation.
I’m running three times a week. I’m currently at 17 miles for the long run and doing 30 miles a week.
My children Mylo (4) and Scarlett (2) have missed me for a lot of evenings and weekends during my training so I am looking forward to seeing them at the finish line and going on holiday to Disney World in Florida afterwards. My only worry is how my legs will feel on a 10-hour flight.
