Temperatures boiled over outside the Royal Courts of Justice as uniformed assistant commissioner Mark Rowley made a statement after the inquest into Mark Dugganâ€™s death has ruled that he was killed lawfully.
Mr Rowley could not be heard and protesters jostled waiting journalists. The angry crowd shouted â€œmurdererâ€ and â€œmurdering scumâ€.
Others called out â€œwho killed Mark Duggan? The police killed Mark Duggan.â€
As security staff tried to disperse the crowd and shield the officer, chants of â€œliars, racists, murderers, scumâ€ rang out.
