Lots of statistics have been recently released about Crime levels and suchlike by the Home Office for England and Wales.

However, two things caught my eye the first being statistics on ‘Attitudes to Local Policing’.Â
This put Surrey at the top of the league at 68%, good stuff you might say?
But don’t get carried away as the next set of statistics that caught my eye were in relation to ‘Detection Rates’.Â
This put Surrey jointly with West Mids. at the bottom of the league with a 20% detection rate!
Either the people of Surrey are easily pleased OR perhaps the surveys sent out to the Surrey public were flawed?
